WRIF presents an afternoon and evening of great cinema as we showcase the celebrated Maine International Film Festival (MIFF). Each summer MIFF runs for 10 days and screens over 100 films, representing the best of American independent and international cinema and spotlighting some of Maine and New England’s most exciting and innovative filmmakers.
3:00 pm Cream of the Crop – selected shorts from MIFF 2016 (Details Here) with Karen Young.
7 p.m. special showing of Joachim Trier’s Louder Than Bombs (Details Here) with Ken Eisen.
Special guests Ken Eisen and Karen Young, programmers at the Maine International Film Festival, will share some of their favorite 2016 festival films with us. Don’t miss this WRIF/MIFF showcase, a special event for film lovers and filmmakers alike!
“For me as a filmmaker, the Maine International Film Festival is summer camp, my weeklong immersion in binge film watching. Not only are Ken and his festival crew incredibly welcoming to filmmakers, but the array of films that are offered––from classics to world premieres to retrospectives––make it pure paradise for the cinephile.”
